TWINS...

Whenever my son and I do something alike or order the same thing, we always say TWINS in unison.  Well, here are some twins to things that I have in my home. 

My telephone table is a deadringer for this one, that's been made over beautifully! 

I want to paint mine as well, it has a chip on the side of the seat and I can't remember what the product is to fill in gaps in wood like that.  I'm thinking maybe painting this a dove grey and I need to find some fun fabric for the seat and back.

This is a fraternal twin of my Sprague & Carleton endtable, mine had a drawer instead of an open step and I am currently using it as a media table for my television since I just moved.

I love how she kept some of the wood showing; I posted before about maybe doing a chevron pattern on mine.

Make Your Bed(Room)!!! parte uno

Okay, I will be having a series on the evolution of my bedroom which will also be my "mom cave".  Today the movers finally came (I've been in VA since the 8th!) and my new to me bedroom set is here.  It is mid century mod -my fave- and has veneered wood tops.  Disclosure: some of the veneer is peeling so I will need to fix that!  I have been thinking about painting the tops white...sounds crazy I know, but looks gorgy. 

*searching for evidence* and this is why you should save all pics you love/that inspire you to your computer when you see it!

New Nest...

 Welcome to our new nest!

I made a new wreath to celebrate Autumn and my new home! 

My friend was laughing at me because I wanted it done THAT NIGHT, before my boys came home.

*shameless plug*  I will be selling these in my Etsy shop by the middle of November.

Mom Cave? Yes, please...

This is an ingenious idea; HomeGoods has a new movement out for the "Mom Cave".  I've wanted to have a room of my own for a while and now that I will be moving with my two little boys I will indeed need a room for respite.  I plan on creating a "mom cave" out of my bedroom.  My new bedroom will have no television, but MUST have a comfy reading chair along with many bookcases for my NUMEROUS books.  I also need a space to sew and drink some tea!

I'd LOVE something like this in my Mom Cave; I could sprawl out on it, read my books, sip my tea, and RELAX!
