Yes, we are moving and not just into a new abode, but this blog as well. Some may know that I’ve been blogging my parenting/children/mommy life at one spot (
Babyhead Diaries) and my design/home/crafting life over here. Well, I feel it’s time to finally merge the two sides of my blogging brain into one.
There are many reasons for this:
- I believe that the two subjects can co-exist well.
- It’s easier for me to blog at one place.
- It’s easier for you to read at one place.
- I can introduce readers to a more comprehensive view of who I am.
- I can expand my blogging realm to encompass all of me (or at least most of me) into one.
Also, there is so much more I’d like to share with you guys about myself; hello beauty and style posts! And now I’ll be able to mix and meld all those things into one. I am so excited, can you feel my excitement? In order to not confuse my dear readers and to make it easy to navigate these new waters I will have a heading directing you to the various posts. There will be a Cre8tive Rookie Header, Babyhead Diary Header, and a Header (not yet named) for my Beauty/Style posts. I will be using the talents of
Designer Blogs for my design layout so you know it will be awesome and pretty!
Okay, now let’s talk about moving in the literal sense. The hubs, the boys, and I will be moving to a new (to us) place next month and I am EXCITED! I was so worried that we wouldn’t find a place in the timeline that I wanted, but we did. I almost broke down at one point and just started crying in the kitchen. The hubs held me and told me, “What God has for us, is for US!” and I knew that he was right, it was just so hard adjusting my timeline to His. Well, not too long after that we found OUR place and I am overjoyed. I had made a checklist earlier of what I wanted in our new place and I swear it was only missing ONE thing and that’s a garage. Good neighborhood; Good School System; Space for Playroom; Three Bedrooms; Basement; Nice Backyard (for a DOG!); Deck, etc. we just checked so much off our wish list it was insane and all well within our budget! Oh and I forgot to mention some nice to haves that weren’t on the list: hardwood floors on main level-check; bathroom for every bedroom-check; storage shed in backyard-check; mini-mudroom-check! Needless to say I can’t wait until I can take BEFORE pictures to share with you all. I already have so many ideas swirling in my head as to what we can do with it! The first thing that’s being done is paint, so before I let you go from this LONG post, I will show you my proposed paint colors.

These are my base colors and I will be adding some other pops (stripes? chevrons? chalkboard?) to liven things up and differentiate different rooms.
